This 3 over 4 Linear Groove concept is great if you are just getting into this type of drumming. The groove has a 3 beat sticking pattern that repeats throughout the measure making it an easier way to introduce Linear style drumming. Enjoy!

This lesson is your introduction to playing the middle triplet on the kick drum during a 1/2 Time Shuffle Groove. Because the middle triplet can be more difficult, we’re going to simplify the hand pattern by taking out all of the ghost notes on the snare drum for now.
Today’s lesson will cover a great warm-up exercise involving the double stroke roll that helps develop fill and solo ideas. Enjoy!
