Here’s the first of several Double Bass Groove Workouts. For this lesson, we’re going to work on keeping the feet going with a steady flow of 16th’s while we explore playing several different 8th note combinations between the hands.
Here's the follow up to Funk Shuffle Workout Part 1. In this lesson we're going use the same hand pattern from part one and begin to explore playing various 16th note rhythms with the kick drum. Today we're going to play all of the 1 & 2 note possibilities for every beat of the groove. This exercise will help prepare you for putting these patterns together randomly to create a series of Funk Shuffle Grooves in the future. Enjoy! Feli's Flip of the Week #16-Breathing Drums This week ideas are about different sounds found when adding air pressure to the interior of a drum with a rubber tube and several musical applications for those sounds. The tubes are 3/8'' rubber tubes from 3 to 5 feet in length and placed a few inches into the air hole of the drum. Please write in with any more suggestions. Enjoy!
