Drum amd Cymbal Storage Racks

Just like many drummers, I've got a few drums around my house and studio. The problem comes when it is time to store these drums. Your choices are usually limited by putting them in a gig bag, hard shell case, or just sitting them some place comfortable. If you're a collector, usually that is not ideal as you want to display your drums with pride. What better way to put them on display so that you can quickly grab the drum you want to play and store the old one in a safe place? This website that I found has drum storage rack prototypes. Tech'd out Vdrums with iPhone - Shure is nice!

If you own an iPhone, you were probably as frustrated as I was when you realized you ditched you old iPod for this all-in-one wonder device and when you went to plug in your favorite headphones to realize that you need a special Headphone Adapter. The Belkin headphone adapter works for listening, but you don't have a way to speak because there's no microphone available. It's a pain when you're paradiddl'ng your way to stardom and a phone call comes in that you can't miss and you have to dis-com-bob-ulate (unhook) everything to take the call. It's probably embarrassing as well that you are shuffling around if you already answered the call -- this has happened to me at least 4 - 5 times. The solution for this has arrived!

All About Vistalite - Acrylic Drums

If you've been wondering about the history of Acrylic Drums, aka "Vistalite", check out this cool site I found which talks about the long history dating back to the 60's regarding these cool drums. From John Bonham to Ringo Star, acrylic drums have been through the test. vistalites.com. There's some great history here, and its worth the read. DRUM-OFF 2007 - Orlando, FL - Third Round Results!

Last night completed the store prelims for Guitar Center's annual DRUM-OFF 2007. It was a great turn out as people across Orlando came out to support the local drumming community. Congratulations to our own Keith Thomas and Jimmy Rivera for advancing to the store finals Oct. 3rd! Don't forget to come out next week and join myself and the rest of the Drummer Connection crew for this must see event!

Today is the 2nd round in the 2007 Guitar Center Drum-Off . Drummers all across the nation will compete for a spot in the store finals.

Ray Luzier Clinic at Drums 2 Go

On Aug 28th at Drums 2 Go, one of Orlando's premier drum shops hosted a free drum clinic with special guest Army of Anyone drummer Ray Luzier. Playing in front of a packed house of anxious drummers, the clinic took place over the better part of two hours as Ray discussed stick technique,touring etiquette,and a few of his funnier career experiences which he has played everything from metal to merengue.While not performing on tour with multi-million dollar recording artists Ray occupies his time with various recording projects and a worldwide clinic tour schedule, traveling to Tokoyo and Greece within the coming weeks.

Pavarotti Dies at 71

"Luciano Pavarotti, famed vocalist and opera legend, died today after a long struggle with pancriatic cancer. He was 71 years old. Pavarotti was known for his extraordinary voice which gained him popularity neverbefore seen in the classical opera field. As the motivating force for the Three Tenors, he-- along with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras -- sang before hundreds of thousands of fans and sold millions of CDs.Thier concerts were televised to audiences said to number in the billions and earned vast sums of money. As often stated by friends and family "He had a unique ability to touch people with the emotional and brilliant quality of his voice. He was a man with the common touch and the most extraordinary gift. He will be truly missed by millions"
