Modern Drummer Festival Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets are now on sale for the 2008 Modern Drummer Festival. Postponed from last year due to issues with securing a venue this years festival looks to come back strong with artists such as Simon Phillips, Derek Roddy, and Gavin Harrison just to name a few. Tickets can be purchased individually for $82-87.00 single day, or $75-80.00 for the 2-Day combo. Tickets for main events will have assigned seats so if you want front row you better hurry!

FFCC 2008 Percussion Circuit Championships: Kissimmee, FL

This Friday the FFCC 2008 Percussion Circuit Championships will be held at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, FL. Over 20 drumlines will compete in their respective classes for the chance to be crowned champion.

John Blackwell Goes to Zildjian

As of this month drumming sensation John Blackwell has made the switch and will now be endorsing Zildjian cymbals. John, having played with such talents as Prince and Justin Timberlake, had this to say about being welcomed into the Zildjian family as one of their newest artists.

Drum Lessons with Jason Bittner at Drome Sound Music Store

That's right folks! Jason Bittner is going to be giving private drum lessons at Drome Sound Music Store! Although we don't know exactly how long he will be providing this service, store owner Tony Popolizio assured us that he will be giving lessons for another month or so until he leaves to go on tour.

Warranty Issues: Why I Love Pearl Drums.

Once again the Pearl company has gone above and beyond to stand by their product. Last year I purchased a Pearl Eliminator p-2002c double bass pedal. Recently I had a problem with one of the links snapping on the chain drive. Although this was purchased from Guitar Center I had to call Pearl to square away details regarding the warranty.
