Metronomes

drumhead101541 - Mon, 04/28/2008 - 15:15 | 2,677 views

I'm looking to get a good metronome to practice with. I want to get one that I can tie in with my headphones and/or PA speakers when I'm practicing. Does anyone know of a good metronome to meet these requirements, but still have a decent low price?

I use the Yamaha qy10, its a sequencer but just when I want to practice a bassline on drums the feature is there plus the metronome ,I only paid 80.00 years ago ,I really dont practice heavy licks as much but if you want to practice a reggae beat its there if you want a waltz its there, plus you can write songs on it
I use it when I play gtr and bass or keyboards as well, its a good tool....most of you wouldnt want to go this route but its a thought,oh yea the beat bug placed on the snare gives you the timing and you can practice by keeping the timing where you want to keep it.another great old tool

I like the way Boss DB-30 looks being that it isn't too big and it still some good features, no to mention that it looks like a tank!

I agree, it does look like a tank, and as many times as I drop stuff, sticks included, it would be nice to have a durable metronome!

This one doesn't have a price, but the Yamaha Click Station is pretty nice too and has really nice lighting:

You can use any metrome with a spliter and a Quarter inch to XLR cable.

Cool, I think drumfreak has one of those somewhere around his studio. Maybe I'll ask to try it out, then I'll most likely get my own.

I like the Korg MA30.  It's small, inexpensive, has the basic features of an electronic metronome, multi-tone click to differentiate the downbeat, a tap-in tempo feature and a micro pin jack for headphones, ear buds or pathing into a PA.
