DrummerConnection.com will be closing it's offices and staff down on Friday January 22nd, 2010. Our company, built by a group of passionate drummers willing to share their love of drumming with you, sadly must close it's doors. Approximately 3 years ago, we set out on this journey to build an awesome online resource for Drummers to share and communicate via the internet with each other - free of charge - just bring your passion. Unfortunately due to difficult economic times and lack of interaction / responses on our website that were necessary to gain funding, our staff will no longer be together. For 3 years, we have employed 5 - 6 local drummers / musicians full time to help build this resource. Without funding, we can no longer operate at this level, and this must become a hobby for those left behind (drumfreak..).
DrummerConnection.com will remain online in its current state, and will be available 24 x 7 x 365 for you to use at your will. We only ask that you get involved and help the community keep going. Eric 'drumfreak' Rosebrock, owner and founder of DrummerConnection.com will assume responsibilities for the website maintenance as well as our Facebook community. Everything else will be up to YOU and our other members to keep this movement going with the tools we have provided you.
In a nutshell, this means we won't be producing Playalongs or Drum Lessons, our event calendars will be updated on a volunteer basis, no more Event Coverage and no more artist interviews (unless someone volunteers to contribute their time in doing so for the good of the drumming community).
A Sincere thanks goes out to all of our fans who have supported us this far. We greatly appreciate you and your interests in sharing your drumming world with us. Please keep it going! Just register, upload and participate!!
It's time to return this to a Hobby for us!
Sincerely,
The DrummerConnection.com Staff
Eric, Billy, Damian, Keith, Danilo, Jacob, James and others who have worked with us to make this all possible.
PLEASE KEEP IT GOING!! CONTRIBUTE YOUR PICTURES, VIDEOS, EXPERIENCES, KNOWLEDGE!!!

Hello everyone,
I want to say how sad I was to hear the news about Drummer Connection. This past year, I have been involved in many different projects and personal ventures that have pulled my time away from being a part of DC. I have known and been friends with Eric,”Drumfreak” for a few years now. From the moment Eric first started to plan out this new idea, I have to say to you all how inspired I was to see a person so passionate about drumming and wanting to use his knowledge and situation to help the drum community. It was such a refreshing feeling whenever he would call me with ideas. I live two hours from Drummer Connection Central and Eric’s home. I would take trips as often as I could to jam, hang out, talk and just be something we all live for, to be Drummers hanging out, doing what is in our blood. As Eric built the site and brought on new faces, it was very exciting to see his Idea brought to life. As any new entity is being born, some ideas worked great and some did not. There was good times and bad times, you know he had his share, thank you Robert Plant. We went on trips to spread the word about this amazing community and meet many people. Weather it was going to LA and attending the NAMM Conference or flying to New York and attending the Buddy Rich Memorial, there was something magical happening here. Eric had a vision and an opportunity to start something so special for the drumming community. We should all admire him for that. There are not many people in this would who would put it all on the line for something they believe in.
Right now, Drummer Connection is going through what I would like to believe is a hiccup in DC history. All though it is very disappointing for all the people who have been a part of the DC family, I feel confident that something good is going to come out of this current situation. Eric has a way to make magic happen. I feel very confident that in a matter of time, Drummer Connection will have a staff again and be stronger than ever. In the meantime, everyone who uses this site should please take Eric up on his offer. Embrace the site and take care of it as if this was your own because it is. Drummer Connection belongs to the community. You are Drummer Connection.
Sincerely,
Chris Carbonaro

I only found this site recently, but I love what you have done. I want to thank //drumfreak and the entire staff for everything you've done for the drumming community. I hope the staff will keep in touch with the users of this site and let us all know what they are doing and where they are playing and all that fun stuff.
You guys rock, and will be sorely missed.

But hopefully a good one! I hope you enjoyed a kick ass job and the travels we were able to share together Keith! You were very lucky to have found such an opportunity, and we were lucky to have you man. You did a fantastic job here and it is still here for everyone to see! Keep your head up, keep it real and something will happen for you out there Keith! I'll miss not seeing you at the office, it'll be weird working around this place without the drummers in the hall!

Anytime, anything, just let me know.
I can run the DrummerConnection myspace if need be, I will spread the word and things will get done.
Drummers unite, start sending in vids of yourselves giving lessons from your youtube, there are thousands.
I've also got good connection and knowing about anything that Mike Portnoy is doing so I will keep everyone filled in on those notes as well.
Weekly updates from me on Mike Portnoy, just check check the forums and you will find it!
Let's keep DC going drummers this isn't something to waste!

This is horrible, I can't believe this is happening. You guys were doing such a great job !! All the money you spent on this ! If only I was not so far away Eric, I would for free. This site was really great. I can't believe DDrum is not helping and all these people.
This is so sad. Of course I'll keep posting videos and pictures.
Sorry about that Eric, it must be hard for you.
Best
Sehb.

I personally want to thank everyone who has helped us along the way. It's been a truly memorable experience, and we have made so many friends through this journey. My goal is to keep touch with every one of you and keep the Connection going through whatever means we can find. This is merely a push-back and reset situation, however we don't know how long we'll be offline (staff wise).
Thanks!!
