Billy is a cool guy. He used to teach once in a while at PIT when I was there. He told funny stories about playing with Yoko Ono and auditioning for Frank Zappa, and he was really helpful. It's good to see that he's done so well since then.

Buddy Rich was into Karate. Knowing that, when I met him at Ludwig I expected his handshake to be like a calloused iron fist. On the contrary, his handshake was firm, but his hand was soft. Not what I expected at all.

I saw this funny picture of him in a Kung Fu outfit.You know...the old school Bruce Lee type. I don't know what it is about drummers and Kung Fu (I'm a big geek of it myself) but I've seen a couple of big names do it, including John Blackwell. I gotta get one!!!
