practice pads

i have $160! i need a practice kit, or something to that effect.

i was thinking about the DW go anywhere practice kit, because i play a jazz combo, so it has the capacity i need and seems to be everything i need.

right now im just getting it for chop building, but may have to use it as my main kit soon, because we're moving.

any other ideas? i thought of just getting a new bass pad and snare pad, but the idea of the set intrigues me.

what do you guys think?

The DW kit is good if you're not a heavy hitter, the support arms tend to rotate if you don't keep them routinely tightened. Still a great practice kit and it will keep you form getting evicted.

In the end Id say the DW kit. Its easy, light, transportable (all in one peice), quiet, more practical and a full kit.

Hey man, The DW kit is nice because you can experience fill ideas and ride/hi-hat patterns. Furthermore its fancy, real quiet, comes with bass pad and cost $149.99. However, you can go with the option of buying yourself a SP (sound percussion) or Gibraltar Bass drum pad for 49.99 and Remo Pad 20.99 (12") and save some money. (you could just use your snare stand for the 12" pad). Hope this helps.
