I know that A lot of traditionalist won't buy into these but I've been playing along time and REALLY think that they are THE BEST. They play GREAT are non slip and DURABLE as HELL! You owe it to yourself to try a pair. You won't regret it!

I've played on them a bit at the NAMM Show but never owned or used them on a kit. Might check em out when I get my V Drums.

Cool product and I totally understand what you mean by "traditionalist". It's one of those things that you either like them or you don't. I've experimented w/ a couple different brands since I've been playing drums. Some are solid-and some tend to feel bouncy sometimes-especially on rubber padded electric kits. It's cool to have a bit of everything in your stick bag just in case....I'd buy em'.

How do they feel compared to wood sticks?

I feel that they are better in EVERY WAY! They are rigid, not like some earlier versions that I have seen. Perfectly straight, balanced, The red grip surface has a GREAT confident feel. There are times when a soft wood tip stick sounds GREAT on a ride cymbal, but in ANY application where you would use a nylon stick for brightness or definition this is the go to stick. I don't think I'll every use anything else.
