Louie Bellson 1924-2009 The music world has lost a great mentor, and friend as Louie Bellson passed away on Valentine’s Day at age the age of 84. The cause of death is still unknown at this time. On January 28, Bellson had been released from a hospital, where he had been recovering from a broken hip, and was reportedly undergoing physical therapy as part of a rehabilitation regimen.
