Hi all,

Well this is the start of my Blogs, may as well start somewhere with all this stuff.

So where did it all start.......

For me it all started when i was 13/13 years old at school. In our music class we were asked to pick what we wanted to play and as soon as i sat behind the drums i knew that was the place to be and that there was something awesome about being there and how everyone looked at you to start things off and get the wee groove happening. After playing for about 6-8 months a few of us in my class put a band together and started playing at lunch times in the music rooms and then that progressed to playing after school and weekend at my parents house in the garage. Which my dad had the final say on what would be played that Sunday afternoon while he cut the grass, usually it was Rolling Stones or Free. Which we enjoyed playing but with some Cult or G,N,R thrown in. By the time we came to the end of our schooling we were all looking to be getting jobs and taking on the world and for me the drumming was left rite there when i started working.

After a long break from drumming i went out to visit Chris in L.A about 5 years ago where he was studying at LAMA and that's when it hit me again watching him and the others in his class playing, i needed to get back on the stool and sticks in hand. So about 2 and a half years ago i got my Roland Electric kit and started all over again.
Anyways, that's where it all started. Am sure you lot have some cool stories about how you got to be the 1 with sticks in hand and creating grooves. So don't be shy, share them, am sure there is the odd funny 1 out there.

I thought it would be a good place to start, plus it gives you lot (my fellow drum machines) a chance to tell your story too i hope.
