WELL, I WAS USED TO SAY ... "WHEN I HIT MY SNARE... " OR "WHEN I HIT MY CYMBALS"; BUT WHEN MY PERCUSSION MASTER TOLD ME THAT A DRUM IS NEVER "HITED", INSTEAD OF THAT, IS PLAYED, MY WORLD CHANGED.

THE WAY YOU THINK IS THE WAY YOU PLAY, IF YOU HAVE A GROOVE IN MIND AND YOU THINK IT AS "HITING DRUMS", THEN THE FINAL RESULT WHEN YOU PLAY THAT GROOVE WILL BE A BUNCH OF NOISE LIKE A PAIR OF DOGS FIGHTING OR DISHES FALLING DOWN TO THE FLOOR...

HERE ARE SOME TIPS:

1.-YOU NEED TO SEEK THE BEST SOUND QUALITY, AND THE BEST WAY TO ACHIEVE THIS (AFTER PRACTICING YOUR RUDIMENTS AND EXERCISES!!) IS TO FIND A CONCEPT OR WORD THAT CAN DEFINE WHAT SOUND YOU WANT TO HAVE.

IF YOU PLAY JAZZ WITH BRUSHES... MAYBE YOU CAN THINK IT AS "THE SOFT FALLING OF WATER" OR JUST WITH ONE WORD LIKE... "SMOOTH"

IF YOU PLAY HEAVY METAL MAYBE YOU WANT AN "GREAT EXPLOSION!" OR SOME "EUPHORIA"

2.- FIND THE SOUND YOU LIKE IN YOUR HEAD, AND ALWAYS SING WHAT YOU PLAY, IF YOU CAN SING IT YOU CAN PLAY IT... SO... LEARN TO SING GOOD ENOUGH!!!!

3.- ALWAYS BE GENTLE TO THE DRUMS, RESPECT THEM, EVEN IF YOU PLAY BLAST BEAT, YOU DON'T NEED STRENGTH OR VIOLENCE TO PLAY.
CHANGE THAT TWO LAST WORD, AND INSTEAD THINK THEM AS THICK, HEAVY, DEEP SOUND...

4.- ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE MUSIC EVEN IF YOU PLAY BASIC RUDIMENTS OR WARM UPS.

5.- KNOW AND LEARN WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING, MAYBE YOU CAN PLAY THE NOTES FINE BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU PLAY IT'S POINTLESS.
THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOOD MUSICIAN AND A GOOD PLAYER.

6.- NEVER CHANGE SPEED FOR QUALITY, SPEED COMES WITH TIME.

7.- PLAY FOR THE MUSIC, NOT FOR YOURSELF.

8.- LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE PLAYING AND WHAT OTHERS ARE PLAYNG.

9.- RECORD YOURSELF, SO YOU CAN HEAR CAREFULLY WHAT YOUR LACKS ARE.

THAT'S ALL FOR NOW!!! PLEASE FEEDBACK!!!

Music is already part of my life. Every second counts and I spent lots of times by listening to music. These great ips would really be helpful to all of us musician especially that we are into Pinterest that we could know on how pinterest get followers. Thanks.

Are you sick of working for the man? wouldnt you rather sit around and play the drums and get paid while you do it?? if so the answers might be closer and easier than u think.
