For those stats lovers out there, Drummer Connection has passed 1,000 members a few days ago. This is a dramatic increase since Summer NAMM 2008. We left having nearly 400 members and since (not really because of NAMM...) we have gained 600 members in less than 3 weeks. With that said, I'll let you know how Geeky we really are here and show you the new server I just placed on order from Dell strictly to run Drummer Connection in anticipation of it's growth.
The quick and nerdy summary is this server is 12 Ghz of 64 Bit CPU Power with 8 146 GB 10,000 RPM SAS drives and 32 GigaBytes of RAM :)
It will be located in our Data Center here in Kissimmee, FL where are offices are located.
Here's the nerdy specs of all of this:

If you're a server software geek, we run Linux, Apache2, PHP5, MySQL5, memcached, and loads of other customizations. The site is prepared to be in a load balanced environment when necessary and is scalable to multiple memcache servers, multiple MySQL replication servers and etc. This is all maintained and managed by myself drumfreak / Eric and my Server Team. (Yes..shameless plugs!).

TODAY I LOST MY DRUMMER TEACHER, NOW I CANNOT LEARN MORE:( I OWN A BEAUTIFUL PINTEC SET, AWAITING TO FIND MY FIRST ROLAND BRAIN. AS SOON AS I CAN FIND A GOOD PRICED ROLAND 8. NOW AT LEAST I HAVE THIS SITE TO SEE HOW TO MAKE NEW DRUM MOVES, BUT A TEACHER WAS BETTER. I LOVE DRUMMING AND GOING CRAZY. MY BODY IS GETTING USED TO THE PHYSICAL ASPECT OF IT. HO HUM, THAT'S ALL ON MY MIND AT THE MOMENT. UNTIL THEN, I AM TEACHER HUNTING. BYE. TobyandGypsy.
