im in the market for a new snare drum strainer and im curious what people are using out there.
I've been looking on drummaker.com and only found one that is the measurement im looking for.
I also looked up on musicians friend & guitar center and no luck.
the spacing for the holes is 2 and a half inches. : /

Puresound is my choice for Snare wires. In particular, I prefer their "Equalizer" wires. Currently Im playing the 14 wires...7 wires on the right side...7 wires on the left side and No Wires in the middle...which almost totally eliminates the snare buzz *proper snare tuning take care of the rest*. You get a crisp tight dry snare sound.

I was talking about the holes on the strainer that holds the strainer to the snare, but i was measuring wrong so i found a replacement strainer.
thanks for the reply though

By spacing do you mean the distance between the holes on your current strainer for the cord to hold the strainer to the throw-off and butt plate?
