Ever considered coming out with a Billy-Busts-a-Beat Bear for the JDRF? I've been diabetic since I was 5 & have been playing drums for almost 9 years (since 7th grade). I'm 22 now and have only owned a kit for 2 years. So thanks ALOT for all your lessons, insight, & over-all help, especially with the tuning I've been @ all day.

Just wondering. Also wanted to say thanks 4 clearing up the fact that THIS is a rim shot. I had always called side-sticking a rim-shot.

Thanks! Actually that snare's from a company called Rocket Shells out of California. It's made from carbon fiber.

Wow, I burned through some sticks doing rim shots. But I was so concerned about getting the shot that I never realized I could get different sounds and dynamics. Until your lesson! And those close in rim shots are hard!! (at least for me)
