Hey Billy,

This lesson is so apropos for where I am at in my drumming. I notice that you're doing a "Moler" stroke on the accents...

Thanks man, I am really starting to get it!

Thanks! I was never officially taught the "Moler" stroke. I think I just naturally gravitate towards it :) It seems to work pretty good for me so far. Enjoy this stuff...it's lots of fun!

motodrummer Says PDF file is wrong

The downloadable pdf file is different from the one you are playing on this lesson??

The download PDF has the accent pattern for each exercise written out. Only the notation on the lesson screen has the actual exercise written out. I've added the flow with your hands as well as the foot patterns during the actual lesson to help better describe each exercise. The idea is for you to print the PDF with just the accent pattern and then work on applying those patterns around the kit in several different ways. If seeing the steady flow, or foot pattern written out really helps you with the exercise (it almost always does) then please feel free to take the time to write each pattern out with the specific exercise notated.
I did change the title and add LINES #'s to the most recent PDF file. Hope this helps!!

b2solo Says Download doesn't match the lesson?

Hey, Billy
Great lesson! However the download file is for the TripletRhythms and doesn't match accented triplets shown in the video lesson.

cheers,

Hello…
Glad you like the lesson!! Actually, that is the correct download. Sorry for the confusion! The download PDF has the accent pattern for each exercise written out. Only the notation on the lesson screen has the actual exercise written out. Thanks,
Billy

Thanks for the reply. I sort of figured I was confused and you were right on!

By the way, your tip of "playing a single vertical line and resting on the rest of bar until that gels; and the gradually adding in the rest of the vertical lines; and looping until that works" was the greatest tip (for me ever!). I was playing some beats but I could tell I was off from the click. Your tip helped me get the beat totally dialed!

Thanks!, cheers

That's great...glad everything is making sense now! Also glad my "tip" helped you out. Yeah, looping an exercise has been in my practice routine for years. It REALLY helps get everything settled and grooving!
