I first saw Octobans on Mike Portnoy's kit, a couple years ago. Ever since the day I saw them I had to have them. I finally got some early last month (September) and I LOVE THEM. I got the Ddrum deccabons which are pretty much acrylic octobans. They come with a thin layer of paint on them that scrapes off really easily, so my father and I used some paint remover to get rid of the thin amounts of paint. The octobans are all clear and still sound amazing!

The clear looks sick! I have a set of three Pearl Quarter Toms. I'm jealous yours have ball mounts though... The Pearl elbows were so clunky and rigid to place them on my rack... But I finally got them to work =)
