Hansen Futz Practice Pedals

by ThatDrummerKid on Tue, 09/30/2008 - 11:16

Being a drummer, having the right tools to practice is the key to building your foundation. Almost every drummer has a practice pad, but have you ever seen or heard of a practice pedal for drum set players? Well now you can work on your foot technique wherever you want to now with the worlds “first practice pedal”, the “Hansen Futz”  pedal.

The Futz practice pedal is a tool meant to help improve your speed, endurance, and control. With its adjustable spring, you can start with as much or as little tension as you desire. You can also change the pedal height to match your regular bass drum pedal. This is great because you can completely personalize the pedal to your practice or typical playing preference.

Made of durable lightweight nylon, the Futz practice pedal can be taken anywhere and they hold up very well.It also has a material similar to Velcro on the bottom so it won't walk away while on carpet. They are convenient for travel because they fit perfectly under a desk for practice at work and such. Also, they have different impact pads so you can change them for a different attack and volume. Slip in the rubber pads so you can practice hard in your apartment, or just put in the polymer disk fora harder attack and feel. Or even play without any pads for maximum volume and attack.

One of the amazing things about theFutz practice pedal is that it can be used for many other purposes other than just practice!

Make your Futz pedal an electronic triggering device by attaching a standard drum trigger. (similar to the Pintech RS-5*) It makes adding multiple effects to your kit easy and without having to go out and buy a whole Roland pedal. The Pintech trigger* is compatible with most sound modules.

You can also make it an accessory percussion pedal by attaching the Steel beater** (sold separately),and whatever percussion accessory to the Steel Stand**(sold separately) to add more flavor to your kit without buying unnecessary clamps and/or hardware.

 Steel Stand                                  Steel Beater
