are you able to trigger loops of actual songs and does it have a built in metronome?

Hey wooddjembe,
The best answer I can give you is to have you look at the owners manual. You can find it here.
http://backstage.rolandus.com/product_manuals/?group=4
Then scroll down to the HPD-15, it opens as a .pdf file.
From what I've read in the manual, they refer to a metronome function as "click" for recording/playback of sequences although I imagine you could use a standard woodblock sound to create a metronome if needed. There are preset loops obviously and you can upload loops from another sequencer. But I haven't seen anything that allows you to trigger loops of actual songs. I haven't had a chance to read the full manual in depth yet. I wanted to get you a quick answer to your question.

Thank you, I was able to look at the manual a bit but could not find out anyting further than you have. Have you checked out the yamaha DTX multi 12, it has great sound qualities and is very new out on the market as far as this type of technology.

Hey wooddjembe, I just reviewed the DTX-MUTLI 12. And I think it fits more with what you're doing or at least looking to do.
