I never bought the Joey Jordison custom sticks because in the past I have had a problem with Ahead sticks. I've found (In the sticks I bought,) that they broke alot easier than ProMark, Vater, and Vic Firth. If you want sticks that last a long time, I used to use Neil Peart's Snakes & Arrows sticks. They are made of Japanese Oak and lasted a very long time for me. Eventually I stopped using them because they are Wood-tips.

Now, I use these Hornet drum sticks (Also Wood-tip), I've never seen them in a store but here's a link:

I've been using them for a few weeks now and I can tell they won't be breaking for a long time.

In my opinion, I wouldn't suggest using them if you want a full sound out of your snare and toms. The sticks aren't truly solid, therefor when you strike the drum, the sound isn't gonna be solid or full. Plus they feel flimsy and like they flex to much. I owned them for a few months when I was in that "black stick phase" and when I switched back to wood, I was amazed in the change in the drum sound when I played. Plus believe it or not, they are made of cheap cast aluminum on the inside and they do tend to snap in half. And I don't even play hard. I would strongly suggest going out and finding a set of wood sticks you feel most comfortable with.

If your looking for sticks that just last longer, maybe try the Japanese Oak sticks, but I do not recommend them either, but that's another thing I can explain if you'd like
