Hi drummers everywhere.

Hi all, just found this site and thought I would have a look. Looks good so far. About me, I am from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. My name is Darren, just turned 40, I had my first kit at 6 years old. I played along to Cozy Powells Dance With The Devil, so I would say he was my first influence. When I was 18 I bought a Yamaha Power V kit, and got together with mates who played guitars. We just got together and had a couple of hours playing our favourite tracks (limited to whatever the guitarists could play of course) but Iron Maiden, Faith No More, Metallica, Van Halen etc were the norm. Evntually due to us all working, these sessions became few and far between and the drums were sold, much to my parents, and next door neighbours delight!!! Fast forward to today, I now live with my good lady, I have played a couple of club gigs over the last year or so, and bought a Roland drum kit (It fits in the front room and the neighbours cant hear it). I am just loving playing drums again and wish I had never stopped.
