We are happy to announce that we have now connected Facebook and DrummerConnection.com together. You can simply click this button:
(Please click the button at the top of the page or next to a login link if you are not logged in)
A login to window your Facebook account will appear. You will have to log into Facebook and then Authorize DrummerConnection.com to create an account for you on our website and allow you to login through Facebook instead of dealing with setting up an account, verifying e-mails and remembering passwords. It works kind of like this:
You click any “Connect with Facebook” button on our website and you’ll be presented a popup window:
THE FOLLOWING POPUP WINDOW IS A SECURE LOGIN ON FACEBOOK.COM - WE CANNOT ACCESS YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION!
Once you login, you'll get another screen that asks for your Authorization. This simply means that we need to connect Facebook to DrummerConnection.com and create an account so our systems will let you comment. This is exactly like connecting on CNN.com and most popular websites.
IMPORTANT: You will be prompted to share your e-mail address with us. No, we cannot check your e-mail, but this means we can check our database against a previous account you may have setup and let you connect to that account so you can join your facebook and DrummerConnection.com Accounts Together. The only purpose for this is authorization so you don't have to remember your DC password all the time. We may also e-mail you if you subscribe to the newsletters later in the process. That e-mail account will be attached to your DrummerConnection.com profile. If you do not wish to share your e-mail with us, you do not have to. You can mask it with the options on the screen. You must either share your address or a masked one to continue the login process on DrummerConnection.com
Once you have Authorized DrummerConnection.com the window will be redirected to DrummerConnection.com for account setup and we'll create a profile for you and get you going.
New DrummerConnection.com Account - If we can't find you in our system by the e-mail address you shared, you'll be prompted to setup a new account. Pick a name you like - we don't force you to use your Real name like Facebook. Check that it's available and then setup your account.
Existing DrummerConnection.com Account - If you already have a DrummerConnection.com account, and we find you in our system based on the e-mail that you shared with us from Facebook, we'll give you the option to connect / join your two accounts together so you can easily login to your old account. If you want a new account, you'll have that option as well.
Both options listed above will give you the option to sync your facebook profile picture with DrummerConnection.com - We highly recommend this as it gives a more personalized experience to all users.
After your account has been setup and configured initially, you may click on the Connect With Facebook Buttons and simply login to facebook, you'll then see the Post-Authorization Screen and when you click the "Close Window" link, the page you were viewing will be reloaded and you should be logged in if everything worked as planned.
