hi,
Yamaha makes great kits in all levels from there entry to the top of the line models. They've been doing so for quite some time. OCDP makes great custom kits and recently started making mass produced kits. Ddrum is also relativity new at making acoustic kits. I don't want to sound like I'm knocking down ocdp or ddrum. They like almost all the other drum companies make great top of the line drums, but their entry level stuff might not be great vs the yamaha entry level kits. I was considering getting a ddrum kit but changed my mind after seeing how bad the hardware and finish looked after a couple months of use. that's just what i've seen myself but you might have better luck with them. And for ocdp coudl've say much about their entry stuff yet.

good luck.
