Last evening friends and fans alike came out to support Orlando's local talent at the Guitar Center Drum-Off competition. It was night of great music as the 6 store finalists duked it out in front of a packed house of drumming fanatics! All musicians displayed great talents of blazing chops, lightning speed, jaw dropping flash, and total respect for themselves and thier craft. But in the end ....there can be only one - and it was Max Clark that stood out among the rest to gain the title of Store Champion!!!!!! A previous winner of the Lakeland store a year or so before, Max was completely in awe when the judges announced him the overall winner. In addition to all the free gear he recieved, Max (aka Mr. Goodfoot) will move on to represent ALL of Orlando in the upcoming District Finals on Oct. 24th. When asked, all he had to say is " I don't deserve this, I just feel so blessed." Humble words from a man who has probably already been to Disneyland, so I guess he'll just have to practice instead. Congratulations to Max and all the other musicians who played last night to help keep Orlando drumming on the map!!!!
