Last week Drums2Go had the honor of having Zildjian’s Chief Cymbal Designer Paul Francis stop by as part of Zildjian's 2008 Roadshow Tour. This Tour represents Zildjian's commitment to excellence by allowing consumers to have total access to Paul to ask questions on anything and everything they have to offer. Also, people will have an opportunity to play and purchase some rare prototype cymbals which you won't find anywhere else. Here below Eric Rosebrock and Paul Francis pictured with a one of a kind 23" Inch Armand Ride from the Sound Lab Prototype cymbals they brought on the show. You won't be seeing these cymbals in catalogs or stores near you, as most of them will remain unreleased.     Paul first started with Zildjian sweeping floors in the factory over two decades ago. Throughout the years his persistence and passion for music... more...

Founded in 1983 ddrum has strived to better the industry by providing a unique relationship with not only their artists but the customers they serve on a daily basis. In the past two years at Winter NAMM ddrum has made great strides in quality and design-quickly becoming a trend setting trailblazer with an acclaimed artist roster growing steadily by the day. With more great deals and product lines on the way, it's no wonder why these days a lot of industry giants are losing sleep. One of these exciting additions is the newly formed "drum syndicate", a social network created to welcome all it's members into the drum family. With awesome perks such as cool merchandise, private forum access, and exclusive deals, it's members will also have a chance to interact with some of the companies hottest artists that check in from time to time. The best part is having a chance to receive passes for the annual drum Syndicate Party where you can hang out and even perform with many of their... more...

Before the ddrum Syndicate Party kicked off on Friday the 13th, Seminole Music & Sound gave everyone a great preview of what to expect by hosting a clinic w/ ddrum artist Larone "Skeeter" McMillian. Only in his early twenties, Skeeter has played for a variety of famous musicians and has stayed so busy he's postponed a FULL scholarship offered to him by Berklee College of Music! Playing for such acts as The Last Goodnight, William Murphy, JoJo, and Jennifer Hudson, as his musical diversity broadens the list just goes on and on. Skeeter opened up the clinic by jamming to several play along tracks before cranking out a rhythmically dynamic drum solo - displaying only a fraction of his unique talent, but plenty to leave the eyes and mouths wide open of everyone in the room. Afterwards he spoke to the crowd, answering questions about his influences and life experiences from playing every style from rock to gospel. Topics such as studio and touring etiquette, choosing your... more...

Here we bring to you a little taste of what went on a Guitar Center's Drum Off Preliminary #3 (#777 Orlando Store) held on October 8th, 2009. Seven contestants battled it out for the two spots to get them to the store finals, being held the same time next week. With 5 minutes to set up and 3 two play, they had to prove to judges, Jessie Caraballo, Anthony Lopez, and Luis Santiago Jr. that they have what it takes.       The night went back and all the drummers played their butts off and the judge's came to a tough decision. Drummers Angel Tolinchi and Zack Mitchel take home the spots that will take them to the store finals next week!       To check out the whole photo album, click here: https://drummerconnection.com/users/webadmin/media/photos/37712
