Ex. All That Remains and now The Black Dahlia Murder. He has amazing speed and chops. His ability to fill the gaps in metal and really make the drums sing through his playing is just incredible. Hats off the the great Vinnie Paul as well, along with Casey Grillo (Hey man!) and Carmine Appice.

Cool topic! I have alot of favorite drummers... but my favorite drummer if definitely Dave Grohl.. he's the guy who got me to start drumming when i saw the 'Teen Spirit' video.. he just makes it look and sound pretty simple and i love it! and i just love his energy behind the drum set it's sooper awesome! as well as other kickin' drummers like Tre Cool, Keith Moon, John Bonham, etc. I really like drummers who have so much energy in thier drumming!

How 'bout that Thomas Haake?

Most people like him because of "Bleed" by Meshuggah. But his drumming is all-around phenomenal.

Christopher Guanlao from Silversun Pickups.

He has a really unique style and mine is really clpse to his. "Snare-Heavy," consistant flams, and basically a lot of snare and unique use of cymbals and fills.

Man thats a hard one, if i had to pick though it would be a tie between Danny Carey and Mike Portnoy. Mainly because Danny Carey plays the wierdest timing ive ever seen and plays some nice poly rythyms (like Tdog672000 said), While Mike has alot of speed and wierd beats.

samus from abigail williams happens to be the drumer that im most impressed with as of right now. but my all time favs are definitly matt greiner from august burns red, chris addler from lamb of God, jordan mancino from as i lay dying, and duck from becoming the archetype. other than that ya the usuals...neil pert, buddy rich, mike portnoy, gene krupa, and all the other classics. ringo star too. lol

Well,first is Neil Peart and 2nd is Mike Portnoy. But that's just the prorressive side. There's so many others like Copeland, Steve Smith, Buddy, and Gadd....the list just goes on and on.....Oh and don't forget the imfamous Don Capone ;D

My favorite drummer would have to be Danny Carey. He has amazing poly rhythms. I just love his style it's hard and driving like John Bonham but has a really funky feel to it. I'm currently learning a song by Tool, it's Ticks and Leaches and it's very hard. I've already learned most of 46 & 2 and it's a very fun song. I was really influenced by guys like Morgan Rose, Danny Carey, Josh Freeze, Jojo Mayer, Tony Royster Jr., Carter Beauford, and Ray Luzier just to name a few. It would take me all day to list everyone. It's hard to think of just one.

But I have one who rises above them all in my mind, Romain Goulon. He now plays in a Progressive Technical Death Metal Band, Necrophagist. They are recording an album, Which is due this year.
