Hey all,quick intro and heads up.
Recently took up drumming again after a near 30 year break (was very ordinary then and now merely ordinary) as my son being the drummer in his school band got the motivation rekindled. I now practice more than him but he still kicks my butt...not for long though!!!
Always been a fan of the drums since I was a kid,pretending to play along to the likes of T-Rex,Slade,Thin Lizzy,David Bowie and whatever else was on the English radio in the early seventies and even before.
Now live in Oz after growing up in NZ,married, 3 kids,dog and mortgage.
Music tastes have changed and, at the same time stayed the same,as I now listen to anything from early punk,ska,dub,rock,prog,metal and even love to hear the cello. Probably listen to Tool more than anything else as I find Danny Careys drumming to be incredible but will listen to most anything, with cool drums being a bonus.
This is a great site that you guys have put together and I'm really enjoying picking through the lessons.I'm sure as time goes on I'll work my way through the rest this site has to offer,so Cheers! And keep up the top work.
