Hey everyone, i have had a profile on DC for a while but have never really done anything with it. I play a Gretsch Catalina Maple. Basic set but ive upgraded the snare drum to a Ludwig Supraphonic 6.5x14 402 series. I am currently waiting on my Paiste 2002 16in. and 18in. Med. crash. to come in the mail. I plan to upgrade to a Ludwig Speedking. I am a huge John Bonham fan. Keep on Drumming!!!

Hey strub09,
Bonham was my first, and still is one of my top-5 favorite and most influential drummers of all time. I got to see them in concert just before they released Houses Of The Holy. The vast majority of his work was not complex or difficult to play. In fact, a lot (if not most) of his landmark riffs were beautifully simple. But, he had this incredible skill to play the absolutely best "selection" of grooves and fills that would make the most out of the song. Besides his funk and ability to make people want to move, it was his "choices" that I think are most amazing. A lot of drummers can copy or play like him, but few could ever "think" like him.
As for your profile, adding pics of your ride would be a great (and easy) way start doing something with it... Bobby
