I am very happy to have found this site (via Facebook). The content I have seen so far is fantastic. I'm also pleased to see drummers of all ages, even guys around my age(54). I am as enthusiastic and driven to play and get better at it as I was back when I was just starting. For a while I thought my drumming days were over as I had spinal stenosis which rendered me pretty much incapable of doing anything without pain so I shut down and stopped playing around 2002. Well, enough was enough, I decided to have surgery in 2007. By the grace of God, It was the best thing I could have ever done, fully recovered I have been gigging and being an active drummer for a solid year. I bought a new Peal Reference kit in November and it's full speed ahead. Just practicing every day and loving life as a weekend warrior gigging with several Jazz groups in the Baltimore and DC area. My short term goal is to get some studio work now that the rust is off.
I so look forward to communicating, learning and sharing with all the fine cats here.

Glad you found the site. Lots of great stuff here. Drummers of all experience and skill levels. Also quite a few drummers in the "silver" age group with similar backgrounds. Im sure you'll enjoy the drumless tracks and lessons, and plenty of new ideas in play alongs from other drummers. Hope you will post some of your own jams for us. Welcome aboard!.. Bobby

Drumming knows no age. Hopefully you can get healed and feel like yourself again to get to level you want to be at. But from what I've heard, you could be in a full body cast and still tear it up. I look forward to hearing more from you. Hope you're feeling better and stronger every day.
