Here's a sneak peak of the dPad Drum Sequencer done by Stu Helm, who is renown for "Agile and International Mac Podcast fame."
Although it's pretty feature-limited for an app that's supposed to debut at US$3.99 and a dark, minimally designed, overly-complicated series of dots to build drum sequences. The developers promise to keep enhancing the app going forward. They are looking to add in-app purchases for drum sound packs, a left-handed use mode, sequence saving and loading (apparently you can make sounds now, but you cannot save them), and recording to audio files.
The sounds are rather thick and sound great. But in my opinion, I think these smartphone apps are cute but not very functional for practical use use other than showing off your skills in writing beats. 1.5 out of 5 stars. Check out the video below to see a demo.

We have been "talking" about iPad to supplant the iMac. But I dislike the lack of internal memory. I think waiting to see what comes down the road is in order here. I have a feeling there will be a "bigger" iPad with more memory. But then again, I think the world is flat lol.
