Has anyone ever tried to convert to single pedals into a double pedal? I have been thinking about it because my double bass kit takes up a lot of room in the small room where I have it set up. The pedals I have are Tama Iron Cobra Power Glides. Should I just sell both pedals and buy a double or should I just buy a double and keep the singles? Any help would be great!!

Remmy and the guys have a great point, keep em.... you just never know. AND, if you wanna get crazy when you have room to set them up you can use the double on your primary kick, then use a single on your other one but tune it to a higher pitch to create some cool sounding double bass fills.

Yes, keep the singles and buy a double. You will end up using the singles again for something!

Keep your singles.
And get a new double bass pedal.
I have a huge kit as well, and hauling it around to shows sometimes sucks. It is good to have two kits that you can play around with, I see why Mike Portnoy created his Monster series.
Anyway, more or less, having two drumkits is pretty much always a good thing, back up bass drums for shows. And I mean, putting them together will just mean one huge kit, just like MP.
Anyway... hope it helps man! I'm looking into the same thing right now, cashflow is cut back a bit, but it will work out.
Peace
