haha shopping for cymbals is tricky. How much? How long you want them to last? Quality. All things to ask yourself when looking for the choice cymbals

A suggestion not given: This is NOT THE way but "A" way. Go to www.sabian.com. Find a few endorsed drummers that play your style of music. Check out their set-up. You will actually see the brand, style and version of cymbals they actually use. Lets say they use 7 cymbals, and you can only afford a few. Concentrate on your ride, one crash, and H-H cymbals. Trust me, do not buy the cheaper versions. Get the best you can possibly afford. Taken care of, top quality cymbals can last 10 years +. I play softer music, and they should last me 15 to 20 years +.

Try eBay and your local Craigslist first. You may find some pro cymbals at a lower price than new low line models. For the style of music you play, low line cymbals may not last, and you'll spend more in the long run.You get what you pay for,so try to improve that low budget.I know thats easier said than done, but one positive effect of our wonderful economy is its a buyers market.Good luck...

Don't go to craigslist or ebay. If you buy from there, chances are the warranty won't work. It's better to spend an extra ten bucks or whatever and have to warranty when they crack.

true warranty won't work but if u r planning on keeping ur cymbals instead of breaking them then it won't matter. personally i have bought cymbals off of ebay and i'm so glad i did. but it is true if it is only ten dollars off might as well get it brand new with a warranty.
