I got a set of Clavia Ddrum AT electronic drums with 4 tom pads, 1 snare and a bass drum. I understand they were top-notch in the 90s but other than that I don't know anything about them. How good are they compared to today's electronic drums? Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Rosenberg,
the AT is an early version of the Ddrums. Don't know much abouth them other than this:
- The focus of Clavia was to make very good, sampled versions of accoustic drums. E.g. Roland today models the sound through electronic wizzardry
- The latest version of the Ddrum is called Ddrum 4SE, which is still really good compared to anything out there
- Check out www.2box.se. It's the same guys that made Ddrum, now making a brand new kit. It has only been in the market for about 6 months, but I hear good stuff about it.
- I write this in the hope that someone will buy the 2box and write an objective review before I eventually get one myself.
