Lately a lot of people have come to realize what some have known all along… some of the greatest drummers over the past 20 years have been spawned from the church and gospel music scene. So much in fact that companies are even making their own "gospel" product lines in order to cater to what some would even call a trend. But anyone in the pop or R&B scene knows that certain talents and entities can't and won't be denied… one such phenomenon is Larone "Skeeter" McMillian.
Only in his early twenties, Skeeter has played for a variety of famous musicians and has a resume longer than a career criminals wrap sheet… just check his Myspace. Considered to be a "drumoholic" Skeeter is so busy he's postponed a FULL scholarship offered to him by Berklee College of Music! Playing for such acts like The Last Goodnight, William Murphy, JoJo, and Jennifer Hudson, as his musical diversity broadens the list just goes on and on. Drummer Connection had the opportunity to not only witness, but sit down with Larone after one of his clinics at Seminole Music & Sound. Here's what we found out!

Good advice - "Go into it like it's the last time you're playing..." I'll have to remember that. Thanks SKeeter!
