Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a happy and safe New Year. What sort of new drum gear did Santa bring you this year? I got a new Zildjian A custom mastersound hi hat top with a zilbel. I've really been needing a new one since I cracked it.....the hi hat top I mean. What did you guys get?

I'm still working on muting it so right now it's a love hate relationship. I must admit it seems cool until you get it home, then you have to mute it to take some of the ring out or that thing will ding on forever. It's kinda annoying, maybe I should have just gone with a splash instead. My original idea was to stack it above my ride so I wouldn't have to aim for the bell anymore, guess that's what I get for being lazy....or more efficient depending on how you look at it. I need to get some duct tape for it, if that doesn't work then oh well. Anybody have any ideas?

I have heard the Zil-Bel at Shops around the U.S. and I have also heard the Sabain Alu Bell, It sounds much better in my opinion, but if you can find a way to mute the Zil-Bel Please tell me how it sounds, I bet it sounds much better than the Alu Bell muted.

P.S.
I got a few new China's Splashes' a Crash and ALOT of money, which helped me get my new kit.

But i have heard a sabian AA China Splash, it sounded great it's like a really strong splash, it really is worth the buy if you are looking at one.

Confusing sentence lol

Yeah i heard it the other day and i'm thinking that i might get one. Just not sure if i would use it a lot xD
I might just go with a nice china or another crash.

I've got enough drums, now i've got to shoot for a lot of cymbals. Cheesy
I was thinking either an aax 16" china or a new 16" crash

Well, It matters how many crashes and chinas you have, you'd probably want maybe 3 splashes, or 5, If you play metal or something like that.

I have a 6,8,and 10in splash. I like the 10 the least out of all of them, i don't know if I would ever own a twelve. I did year a china hihat made up from a 12in Zildjian K splash and the cheap Wuhan china MOST of us own( you know you've owned one at one time or another)  and it actually sounded really good.

I actually use the Wuhon 12" Splash Cheesy
I have found it useful for the really loud oriental sound.

I've been trying to get a good china hihat combo going on. But everything i try sounds pretty nasty. i wanna do it without spending the 300 or so dollars on a max stax cymbal.

And yeah, I do use a wuhan. and im damn proud of it.

It has a huge gash in it though lol. sounds better in my opinion.

I got a gift card to Guitar Center, so I had my pick!  Picked up a pair of sticks, a new drum key, and a hat trick which is like my favorite toy right now.
