A cymbal is usually a metalic object that has bas been hammered into a flat round shape to create a bright and loud sound when struck with an instrument such as a drum stick.
There are many cymbal manufacturers around the world. Cymbals can range in an average price range of $100 - $500. Some cymbals can range in the thousands of dollars depending on the size, material, collector's appeal and much more.
Cymbals vary greatly in size, thickness, material and mainly purpose. A typical cymbal setup would be a Crash cymbal and a Ride Cymbal accompanied by a hi-hat which is two cymbals placed together on a special hi-hat stand which allows the drummer to actuate with their foot.
