Latin for: METAL SHAKER. A metal tube filled with pellets or seeds, also known as a chocallho.
This instrument very inmportant in the percussion section. It can carry the rhythm for an entire band, and metronomes the click.
Very big in Latin music, espeicially samba music from Brazil. *WARNING* if you dont have rhythm, a shaker can disaterous for any group of musicians.
