Has any one used these and have an opinion? I have been playing my electronics for 5 or 6 years now and become used to the feel of the mesh heads. Would these Fiberskyns have any similar feel. I have not seen them just read about them online. I know they used to make a Mylar weave type of head but if I remember right they were very heavy.

Check your tuning. The F3 heads are wonderful. Big, Round, Fat, and very reminiciant of the open "Booms" we heard on calf heads in the 40's and 50's but much truer. Wonderful response and very sensative. Remo nailed it with these in my opinion.

I have never owned a Fiberskyn 3 head, but I have played on plenty of them to get a good idea of what they feel and sound like. The don't really feel anything different than a standard Emperor coated (from a playing standpoint), but they are a little more sensative, and they get a great sound when used on a snare drum!

I forgot to mention, I am setting up the old acoustic and they are like beating on concrete.
