Pull the handle on the slot machine! there's so many differences in head and it all depends on the sound you want. For the snare,I personally like Remo Ambassadors. For the kick, I prefer an Evans EMAD. The rest is up in the air for me!

Well it seems to me that most people just go with Evans or Remo when they break a head or just want a new one. They seem to be pretty in-expensive and sound great.

for me, I use evand ec2's. They have the sound that I have been looking for. I also use Aquarian heads only on my snares, cause they take a lickin and keep that sound for at least 4 giggs. Do yourself a favor and don't skimp on your heads. I have 2 expensive kits and I don't skimp on nothing

There are soo many damn heads out there these days, it all comes down to what is your preference in sound. What kinda music do you play? What sound do you prefer?, How hard do you play? There are single ply, double ply, clear, coated, power center dot, pinestripe, pre-muffled heads, vented heads, and the list goes on and on. You really don't know what sounds best till you literally try something till you find that "sweet spot" on your specific drum kit. Remember that not all heads sound the same on every kit. So when you hear a certain head on a kit and Guitar Center, don't make that the final decision. :]
