OK, as an endorser for SwirlyGig, I feel compelled to mention their stuff. They make cool curled wire gizmos for holding beverages and sticks/mallets. They hang from music stands, mic stands, drum stands, lawn chairs, etc. No clamps, no screws. No moving parts - they're practically indestructible. Pretty slick.
Take a look: www.swirlygig.com
If you look at the celebrity page (Cool! they call me a celebrity!), my photo is way at the bottom (actually it's a close-up of the shirt I was wearing at that particular gig :) )

They don't work well on thicker stands though :-(

Thanks! I ordered those DWs, I believe, in 1990 - when they were still using Keller (maple) shells. Standard "old school" sizes: 14x22, 8x12, 9x13, 14x14, matching 5x14 mapple snare. High gloss turquoise stain, Pearl Icon Rack, 9000 series hardware, Zildjian cymbals - many in that photo are from the K Custom Session series.
