I am looking to set up my drums to have the sounds from the mic’s feed to the board and have the clear sound go through the camera. if you get what im saying… i don’t know where to start or how to peace it together. i got mic’s i need cables and i have a mixer. i have access to a computer with protools if that program is needed. i need a camera and im not sure whats a good camera and what functions it needs to make this work. Also how is everything set up?
Thanks in advance!

Quick note dude: You record your performance, (both audio and visual). Once you get those done, keep what you got, but guess what, on Windows Movie Maker, or whatever video program that you want to use, toss the audio track that you got on the camera and replace with the recorded version that you got through the mics/sound mixer.
Pro-Tools is pretty bad ass for audio mixing, so no worries there for your tracks, the biggest problem you will have is matching the recorded wave tracks to the movement of the video, I'm pretty sure you don't want lag, or your movements happening before the sound is heard.
Anyway, pretty basic man, I've never done any of that before, it's kind of just me giving suggestions, hope it works for you!
