Instructional DVD's are one of the best tools out there since....VHS! No more fast forwarding to certain areas, just go straight to the chapter and it's on! In some instances they're better than lessons cause they cost as much but you take it over and over and over. Only problem is some artists make Them more for entertainment than education, but hey... just don't buy that one :)

Ahhh yes, but do not forget that DrummerConnection.com can save you some money! https://DrummerConnection.com/drumlessons and Billy Ashbaugh is one of the Pros who even has his own DVD with Bob Gatzen, now Billy gives you drumlessons on DrummerConnection.com! These don't cost you anything!

I agree with remy_starwing. They are an all around plus. You get drum lessons from the pros, and you can view the lessons over and over.

How do I feel about Instructional DVD's?
How else can you learn the tricks that the masters like Neil Pert or Mike Portnoy know without having to experiment with everything yourself and you basically are jumpstarted in almost each aspect dependent on which drum/percussionist you follow in your instructional/tutoring schedule.
Ever since I picked up MP's Liquid Drum Theater I have increased in speed, my bag of tricks is overflowing, and my sub-division and timing is on a whole new level thanks to MP's easy explanations.
Drum/Percussion DVD's = All Around Plus
