I'm new here so excuse me if I am in the wrong forum or this topic has been beat to death. I am looking for the best drum notation software for writing drum set patterns and excercises. I don't need something to feed in and play back but that would work to. I just need it to write and print out using the notation that we drummers are used to seeing. Something dedicated just for drums and percussion.
Thanks!

Looks like Finale made some improvements to Notepad. I haven't tried it but for $9.95 I may check it out.

Sibelius is another product. I haven't tried it either.

Hello..I use a software for PC called Musedit. It's cheat, about $70 I think, and does exactly what you need without all the extra bells & whistles. I've used it to chart out grooves, exercises and charts. You can check out some of the stuff I used it for right here on the site. Just check out any of my lessons posted and chances are you'll find an example using notation.

off the top of my head i dont know, i would need to research a little bit. I know guitar pro dose things of that sort. But if the name guitar is in the title and you want something specifically for drums, then idk.
