Hey guys, I got tons of tracks up, da, da, da...
Yeah I know...
I got recording meh acoustic down pat, but I am running into a time consumption problem that I was wondering if anyone had perhaps a quick solution to...?
So typically, as I am almost always trying to get everything that I play recorded simply for reference and the possible chance that I can perhaps use one of those certain rolls I did, so on and so forth right...
One main problem I run into is one cymbal in particular, an 18' Sabian B8 Thin Crash coming out a bit too treble-prone for my liking and redlining like a bitch...
Got any quick ways without going through the whole mix and putting a fade on each one of those sections?
I've tried changing my mic placement and even tried my mixer setting, but it throws the sound of my kit off so I am kinda stuck...
Got any suggestions guys?

Hmm i see what your going through. i had a problem with that at one point in the studio, where one of my crash cymbals was basically screwing up my overhead mic mix. I literally ended up taking the cymbal off because there was nothing we could do. The frequency of the cymbal just wasn't meshing well with the microphone setup. Maybe try check the settings on your overhead mic? Check the EQ settings? Hope this helps

What do you think would happen to the sound if I were to decrease the EQ setting to negs? You think it would screw things up?
I'll check it out and let you know the results! I hate experimentation with mics! It sucks lol!
I need a soundguy!
And a drum-tech...
Jesus, the things I dream about lol!
