REMO Pinstripes are a great all around. I also recommend EVANS EC2 Clear. Good stuff!

Touche ricky! I would agree and say if you want to completely change the sound of your kit, get new heads. I had the PDP EZ series for my first kit and the stock heads made it sound worse than it was. The easiest solution is find a pack that fits the sizes of your shells and see where it takes you. I use all pinstripes on my toms for a good, deep tone. If you want a good recording sound, just go with some evans g2 single-plys. Otherwise ricky covered all the bases! Good luck and rock on!

well it depends on what sound u want and the price u are looking for, usually i would try to get a pack of heads because it comes out to be a little cheaper. I haven't tried the evans black heads but stay away from the hydraulics unless you want a dead sound. I usually use remo pin stripes or weather kings on the toms. the ec2s from evans are pretty good as well, they have a darker tone. bass drum heads, emad by evans or super kick by aquarian those are my favorite heads because of the stability and the deep sound they bring out of your bass drum. Snare heads Powerstroke, ambassador by remo or hd dry by evans or any snare head from evans they sound pretty good. hope this has helped!
