Gretsch Drums

fruddog - Sun, 07/19/2009 - 14:12

Does anybody play or have played Gretsch Drums? I'm looking for a solid 4-piece set to use for the smaller stages. I've seen some in drum mags, and its hard to tell why some of them are so cheap for the amount of gear you get. Any input would be appreciated.

Well, that seals it. I'm gonna give Gretsch a tumble. I've never heard anything bad 'em and I've always liked the look of them. Thanks for the feedback folks!

Gretsch Drums provide some of the best quality drums regardless what price range you can afford. Although I am now an endorsed artist, Gretsch was my choice before the endorsement. They're awesome!

Peace Love & Drums....

I play the Catalina Maple Fusion Kit. If you drum on a budget and you know how to tune your toms, Gretch Catalina is the way to go. You can really make these drums sound like a $2000 kit with the right tuning and the right heads. Affordable, Professional Drums.

I have personally played a bunch of different Gretsch kits, and they are truly worth the money! Great drums!

Hey there. Check out my profile: https://drummerconnection.com/users/drumfreak I use Gretsch all the time and particularly love my Gretsch Renown Maple kit. It has a 22" kick, 8", 10", 12", 14" tom setup, which I frequently exclude my 12" tom. This kit costs about $1300 and in my opinion sounds better and plays better than my $6,000 DW collectors kit.

I also have a Gretsch Catalina Club kit I bought for $550 bucks. It's got an 18" kick, 12" and 14" tom. Both of these kits have been recorded heavily on my profile, you can see over 250 videos and listen to about 300 audio clips recorded on these kits right here on this site! Cash, Danilo and Keith frequently play these kits as well.

Here's some videos:
