This is a drum invented by Alex Alexander. It is called the "Electric Djembe". Everything is played on the drum, there is no midi involved. This drum is wireless, and it is a real African Djembe running thru custom Effects pedals and loop machines.
This is the only drum of it's kind in the world!
This is a Live performance in NYC. I've used this drum on many tours and recordings with artists like
Dido, Lucy Woodward, Ritchie Blackmore, Morley,
Bebel Gilberto, and I've also done live soundtracks to movies and visuals with it.
