Since the band was formed in 1961 the Beach Boys have become a staple of American music culture. The group has had thirty-six U.S. Top 40 hits (the most of any U.S. rock band) and fifty-six Hot 100 hits, including four number one singles. They have often been called "America's Band" and Allmusic.com has stated that "the band's unerring ability… made them America's first, best rock band." Although the lineups have changes throughout the years Bobby Figueroa commanded the drums from the mid-seventies until 1990. Now playing with Al Jardine and other artists, Bobby also stays involved in the local community by teaching music at several schools throughout the area Southern California. While at the Los Cabos Drumsticks booth Bobby was kind enough to speak with us about his upcoming album and why Los Cabos is his stick of choice.
