I stepped in for some action tonight with my first ever live drum performance while the judges were getting the scores finalized. I played one of our tracks: Mario Ticlea's Groove Rock as my first ever live experience. Yeah, the ride cymbal ate my stick 3 times, but I still had a smile on my face and had a blast, even though it was a blur. The audio for the drums came off the handycam and I dubbed in the backing track to make it sound a little better.

Thanks everyone for supporting me. I feel better, and I've learned a few things (like check the ride cymbal, get a stick holder!)

awesome! i didn't have the guts to do that lol. I haven't had much experience playing in front of people. You pulled it off awesome. and props for playing off dropping your stick and keepin on.

Billy - I don't know what to say man, hearing that from you really encourages me. You've been an awesome leader, mentor and idol for all of us around DrummerConnection. Ever since you came onboard, and started jamming with me, my progress has shot through the roof. Your musical direction and just goodwill nature really sets everyone at ease and in turn makes you an extremely gifted teacher. I hope my playing last night proves that you've got the right stuff!
