Need help setting up new kit

This is my first acoustic set and I didn't realize how much was involved in the set up. What I'm mostly having trouble with is my rack toms. They're mounted to my bass drum. One's 10" and the other is 12". I just can't seem to get them to line up straight with one another. It'll probably just take some more tweaking, but if ya'll have any tips I'd appreciate it. Also, if you know any websites or videos with good walk through or tips on how to set up your drums for optimum "playability" I'd like that too. Thanks.

Hey jay. Try and just set up your essentials first. Get your hihat, bass and snare comfortable. Once you've got those nice and cozy, start with one tom at a time. If its a rim mount then hold the drum up by the rim when adjusiting it so there's room for suspension. If its an in-tom mount with a hole through the drum, just move the mounting posts up and down separatly to level them out. Good luck!
